1 x 3 MIN ADVOCACY FILM

OVRA | 1 X 3 MINUTES | UK

In cases of sexual exploitation and abuse committed by UN personnel, justice can take time and perpetrators are not always held to account. Using the stories of real victims, we crafted a sensitive script that foregrounded the rights of victims and the dignity they desire to rebuild lives.

“The Reelmedia team was collaborative, showed creativity throughout, and produced an exceptional product.

Created for OVRA, this short film highlights a transformative shift in the UN’s approach to sexual violence.

The United Nations’ new focus prioritises victims’ rights above all else. The change emphasises protection, support, and dignity for those harmed, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.

We approached this sensitive subject with care and creativity. Safeguarding the confidentiality of survivors was paramount, leading us to collaborate with actors to portray real stories authentically and respectfully. The script was crafted to be simple yet powerful, centring on the notion that every victim deserves protection, support, and a chance to rebuild their life with dignity.

Through evocative storytelling I have the right amplifies the UN’s commitment to protecting survivors and their rights.
